THE NOMINATION PROCESS

Now in their fourth year, the Active York Sports Awards have become a major event in York's sporting
calendar, celebrating the contribution and achievements of sport in the city. This year we have updated
the list of awards and added some exciting new categories.

The leading nominees in each category will be invited to attend the Active York Sports Awards ceremony.

Period of qualification - Minimum of a 9-month period running between February 2016 to February 2017.

Awards will be judged by members of the Active York Board, which includes sporting
partners from across the city and Stuart Martel, Deputy Editor of The Press.

The York Sports Awards dinner will be used to celebrate and raise the profile of the Fund
for the Gifted programme and include opportunities for corporate diners to donate, and
a raffle/auction run to bring new funds to the programme.

Nominations will open on 2 January 2017 and will close on 10 February 2017.
