What is the Fund for the Gifted?

The Fund for the Gifted (FFG) is an Active York initiative that aims to assist young talented athletes to
achieve their full potential in sport through the provision of financial and specialist sport support.

FFG Awards are available to those athletes who:

• Perform in a sport with a National Governing Body* that is recognised by Sport England*.
• To find a list of recognised National Governing Bodies please click here

• Are competing, at district level or above and have the potential to achieve higher success

• Are able to clearly demonstrate that to reach their performance potential
• they require additional financial and/or specialist sport support.

How to apply to FFG

Completed applications are welcomed using the application form and emailed to activeyorksecretary@gmail.com between 1 April and 31 May. Applications received outside of this period will not be considered or retained for future
funding rounds. Awards will be made once a year with applications considered during June, and all applicants
notified with a decision within six weeks of the closing date.
