Active York Sports Awards

The Awards 2019

The stars and unsung sporting heroes of York were celebrated at our sixth annual Active York Sports Awards that
took place in the University of York’s Roger Kirk Centre on 26 June 2019. The Active York Sports Awards continue
to grow each year and the number of nominations, clubs and variety of sports and activities involved this year
was evidence of this.

As in previous years, the event was incredibly heart-warming and inspiring and to see the wealth of sport
and activity taking place across the city. For the first time in the events history an external panel selected
the winners from a shortlist created by the Active York board. It was fantastic to see the amazing talent
the city of York has, all in one room, creating a real sense of pride.
