THE NOMINATION PROCESS

Nominations are now open for the 2019 Active York Sports Awards, with entries being sought across
12 categories ahead of our awards ceremony at the University of York on Wednesday 26 June 2019.

Nominations are open until 15 April 2019. The 2019 categories are:

YOUNG ACHIEVERS - U18s

• Young Sportsperson
• Young Disabled Sportsperson
• Junior Team/Club Award

SENIOR ACHIEVERS - OVER 18s

• Student Sportsperson
• Sportsperson
• Disabled Sportsperson
• Team/Club Award

SPECIAL CONTRIBUTION

• Active School of the Year
• Active in York Award
• Coach of the Year
• Volunteer of the Year
• Outstanding Contribution to Sport Award

To be eligible for nomination for any Active York Sports Award you must have been born
in, live, attend school or train or play sport within City of York Council’s boundaries.

There is a period of qualification, a minimum of a nine-month period from February 2018 to February 2019.

The awards will be judged by members of the Active York board,
which includes sporting partners from across the city.
