Active York Action Plan and Facilities

One of Active York’s key aims is: To ensure the sustainability of the sport and active leisure
infrastructure in the city, including high quality facilities and strong clubs. To do this it is
essential that there is a shared ownership and understanding of the current level and
quality of facility provision and the future needs and ambitions for provision and
to support the Council's Local Plan.

have developed two strategies;

Built Facilities Strategy

Playing Pitch Strategy

To draw all of the city’s built facility and playing pitch issues together, and to set out the
work needed to ensure the city continues to have high quality sustainable facilities.
